Michel Fortin has been the teacher and music department head at Monseigneur
Parent High School in Saint-Hubert, Quebec, for more than 25 years. An adviser
with the Ministry of Education for the music curriculum, he also works in
close collaboration with UniversitÈ du MontrÈal in training
future music teachers. Michel has launched the “Douance-musique”
project in the Taillon School Board; he is also the founder and musical
director of concert bands in the Chambly Regional and Taillon school boards.
For several years, he was a teacher and conductor at the world-renowned
music summer camp at Domaine Forget, near Quebec City. Mr. Fortin has participated
in the recording of numerous educational CD's. He is also the author of
“Je m'amusique”, a set of books and cassettes for the teaching
of music at the elementary level. |
