Trumpeter Charles MacKinnon has performed throughout Canada and the United States with the National Ballet Orchestra, Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and many touring shows. He is a long time member of the Confederation Centre Orchestra, Charlottetown, and performs frequently with Symphony Nova Scotia and Nova Sinfonia. He has also performed in Scotland with various orchestras in and around Edinburgh, including the Scottish Opera Company. Charles is active throughout Nova Scotia giving trumpet and brass clinics for schools and band festivals. Currently, he teaches English, History and Instrumental Music with the Halifax Regional School Board, and has a studio of private trumpet students.
