Sandra Britten is presently a member of the Faculty of Music at Acadia University and the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts where she teaches flute and conducts several Flute Choirs. She is in demand as a clinician for school programs and festivals; including The Atlantic Band Festival, Musicfest Canada, NSYWE and NSMEA.

Sandra has established a reputation as a gifted teacher and has a large studio of private students. She is also an active soloist and chamber musician, and has performed with Symphony New Brunswick, Scotia Festival Orchestra and Nova Sinfonia. Sandra received a B Mus Ed from Mount Allison University, a performance degree from Dalhousie University and holds an ARCT in flute performance.
